Who we are
Arena In (arenain.com) is a sports directory connecting athletes, coaches, clubs and sports organizations. We are responsible for processing your data in line with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and international best practice.
Data we collect
- Account data: email and password (stored hashed — we never see it).
- Profile data: name, country, city, bio, photo and the sports information you add.
- Date of birth: stored privately for age checks only and never shown publicly.
- Guardian details for members under 18.
- Contact details you choose to add — you decide who can see them.
Why we use it
- To run the directory and show your profile according to your privacy settings. Profile details are for signed-in members only; visitors see a short card.
- To let members and organizations contact each other.
- To protect the platform: prevent impersonation, handle reports and protect minors.
- We do not sell your data or use it for targeted advertising.
Legal basis
- Your consent when creating an account, which you can withdraw at any time by deleting your account.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping the platform and its users safe.
Minors
- People under 18 cannot sign up themselves; a parent or guardian registers and manages their profile.
- A minor's profile is never shown to visitors who are not signed in, and their contact details and social links are never shown to anyone but the guardian.
- When expressing interest in an opportunity, the guardian's email is shared with the organization.
Sharing
- We use technical service providers to host the platform and database; data may be processed outside Saudi Arabia under appropriate contractual safeguards.
- We do not share your data with anyone else without your consent or a binding legal request.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for sign-in and session security. No tracking or advertising cookies.
Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your data and photos are permanently deleted, except where the law requires us to keep something.
Your rights
- Access and correct your data from My account.
- Pause your account, or permanently delete it with your data, from the Account page.
- Request a copy of your data or object to processing by contacting us.
Security
All traffic is encrypted, data is protected by database-level permissions, and passwords are never stored in readable form.
